This is a farm road alongside Malaghan Road between Queenstown and Arrowtown, just below Coronet Peak at the top right. The composition reminded me of the old Flemish paintings of 2 rows of trees on the side of rural roads, except that I didn’t want greys and browns – for me, this has the dullish winter feel I was after but with good bright colours. I like this one.
