Glasshouse Mountains, Queensland, Australia

Mt Coonowin and Mt Beerwah (front) from Mt Ngungun, north of Brisbane on the way to the Sunshine Coast. James Cook gave them that (English version) Glasshouse Mountains name as he sailed past on the Endeavour in 1770, the shapes reminded him of glass foundries in Yorkshire.

Nice trek up to a swarm of huge and angry flies at the very top. Oils on canvas 18″x18″
