Famous bridge over the Kawarau (“channel between rocks or shoals“) River. Bungee jumping, white water rafting and settings from Lord of the Rings downstream – jet boating, kayaking and paragliding upstream to the inflow from Lake Wakitipu. The bridge carries the State Highway 6 south from Queenstown to Invercargill – traffic volume has moved on since the 1930s but the old bridge remains. Oils 1000x750mm
