The Ohakune Switchbox en vacances a Briancon

This (railway) switchbox and its twin sat at Paekakariki, just north of Porirua, in increasing ruin for years. One was removed to Ohakune and fully restored. A bit stressful for a switchbox I expect so I sent him to France on holiday. It seems however that he doesnt really fit in, his guage may be wider than theirs perhaps. Acrylic on board, 30″x12″
