This group of pix was intended as throwaways to build on the way Mediterranean people gesture when talking, but people seem to like them (the stories I suspect rather than the art) so I posted them. Their long faces were influenced by Solomon Island carvings which my neighbours collected while resident there (sample sketches below) – and maybe a bit of African sculpture (Mali perhaps?)
Alistair, looks like you had great fun developing these characters and scenes. They’re fantastic.
