The view from the Crown Range Road as it climbs the moraine at the end of the magnificent glacial valley north of Queenstown. People die up here. I first rode the Crown Range Road on a motorbike in 1975 when it was unsealed for many miles and even narrower – it’s better now but still not a place to be careless.
Sold privately 2014. I believe subsequently gifted by the purchaser to his rest home in Nelson. Oil on canvas 24″x36″
