Tropical fish invented after snorkeling in the Pacific – many more below
For several of the last 10 years or so, we have had a winter break in the Pacific, partly to dive on coral reefs – Cook Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa and Nuie so far, plus the Great Barrier in Queensland.
In between dives I tried to replicate some of the fish – but remembering the details was way too hard. So I started with various shapes and made it up from there. The idea came from WikiGenesis, tropical fish being invented during the morning break on Creation Day 4 (obviously coffee was created first thing on Day 1).
Water-soluble and graphite pencils mostly plus some messing around with ink nibs.
