For several of the last 10 years or so, we have had a winter break in the Pacific, partly to dive on coral reefs – Cook Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa and Nuie so far, plus the Great Barrier in Queensland.
I tried to replicate some of the fish – but remembering the details was way too hard. So I drew some random shapes and made it up from there (some of them may even exist somewhere, who knows..).
Water-soluble and graphite pencils mostly plus some messing around with ink nibs.
